Golders Green Crematorium and Mausoleum was the first crematorium to be opened in London, and one of the oldest crematoria in Britain.
When you drive through the gates at Golders Green, there's an immediate air of history that hits you. It always feels like a privilege to conduct a service here.
I had the pleasure of conducting a service in the East Chapel on Monday. As always I was greeted and supported wholeheartedly by James at AW Luck Funeral Directors in East Finchley. Like me, James and his father Les are focused on the needs of the family and doing whatever he can to support them in their time of need. Our chapel attendant for the day was Peter, who calmly dealt with the demands placed before him on the day. My family were so gloriously creative in how they wished to arrange the chapel and for James and Peter, nothing was a problem. The focus remained always on the needs of the family.
These are unique times and the regulations placed upon us are many. It makes things so much easier when you're surrounded with likeminded funeral professionals. I am grateful to work with such professionals.
