About Alison

... just a little bit
I moved from Australia to London in 1987, telling my family I'd be gone six months.
I reside in Hertfordshire with my youngest son with my eldest not too far away.
Throw in a large handful of awesome friends, and life is full of love and laughter.

Following the death of my dear father in 2013, I began to offer my voice as a funeral vocalist.
As a professional singer, I've always used my voice to connect emotionally with people,
so when Nancy Bowers, my first funeral arranger, recognized my potential as a Funeral Celebrant,
I decided to train. A year later, my training was complete, and I haven't looked back.

Whilst my passion lays in supporting bereaved families and celebrating life,
it brings me so much joy to officiate weddings & family celebrations.
In love. In Life. In Service.

From Stage to Celebrant
In many ways, creating a meaningful ceremony can be likened to
writing, directing, stage-managing and presenting a show that's playing
for 'one night only'.
There are so many elements: pre-planning and writing the service, arranging the music, liaising with those contributing to the service to ensure they're at ease, working alongside your wedding planner, funeral director, events co-ordinator and venue. It's a team effort, but when the ceremony begins, you're in my hands, and that's a responsibility I take to heart.

All of the elements have to flow and I get one chance to make this perfect for my clients. I go above and beyond to ensure that my clients receive the service they deserve.
